First Aid Course.

Finished your course and ready for the road?

To ensure you leave our training courses ‘road ready,’ we have teamed up with the professional medical team at Thruxton Circuit to offer you the opportunity to attend a first aid course tailored specifically for motorcyclists. This course is open to anyone, including those who have already obtained their licence, motorcyclists who have completed their CBT, and pillion passengers.

The Course

The course duration is a full day of 6 hours. During the course you will learn some essential first aid skills including:

  • What to do at the scene of a motorcycle accident
  • Understanding trauma and the mechanism of injury
  • Basic life support
  • Dealing with major bleeding
  • Spinal injury management
  • Emergency helmet removal

The Instructors

All of the instructors on the course have a wealth of experience in both teaching first aid and pre-hospital trauma. When they are not teaching they remain ‘hands on,’ crewing rescue units and medical cars for car meetings, bike meetings, British Superbikes, and World Superbikes, both here at Thruxton and other circuits nationwide.
